Paulie’s Vault
Paulie was a staple in the Syracuse music scene, and for 40 years he recorded shows of all genres from a multitude of venues. When he passed away he left behind a MASSIVE collection of completely unreleased recordings he had acquired. Most he did himself, some he got through the forgotten art of tape trading. Each episode will feature a whole set (or at least as much of the set as Paulie taped). Some are great sounding soundboards, others are decent audience recordings he made, some are just awful soundng that are here for history’s sake( fear not you will be forewarned). This is cool and a bummer at the same time. It's cool because the sound is pretty damn good, but it's a bummer because his battery on his recorder died 22 minutes into the show. Regardless, it's still an enjoyable recording.

This is a really sounding set from progressive metal all stars The Contortionist. All in all this is a B/B+ recording. The first minute or so you can tell Paulie is looking for the sweet spot to set his recorder and then it levels off.

Well, here we have another gem. Creeper were from Cortland, but played here so much they could have been considered a Syracuse band. The recording is a consistent B- in audio quality. Enjoy.

Do we ever have a great one here. A damn near perfect set from Neil Young. The first two minutes or so does have a little tape wear, but it does get better so don't give up on it!!!!!

I know its not The Lost Horizon show where the riot happened that you are all hoping for (even though I said many times that recording is not here). What we do have here is a great sounding recording from the Antichrist Superstar tour.
